Jed Erickson, DPM

Dr. Erickson was first exposed to Podiatry while serving a mission for his church in the Philippines. Dr. Erickson was able to see first-hand the complex congenital deformities and the life-long disabilities this caused among the Filipino people. While serving there, he came in contact with a group of physicians who were on a medical mission providing reconstructive surgeries for clubfoot deformities. This experience was Dr. Erickson’s inspiration to seek out a career in the medical field and specifically directed to providing quality care and management through both conservative and surgical methods of the foot and ankle. 

EDUCATION
Dr. Erickson attended under-graduate school at both Weber State University and Brigham Young University-Idaho, where he received his Bachelors degree in Biology. He then completed his medical schooling in the School College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University.

Dr. Erickson completed his three-year residency at Norton Healthcare in Louisville, Kentucky, which provided comprehensive training in reconstructive and traumatic surgery of the foot and ankle, pediatric injuries and reconstructive surgery. He also obtained extensive training in limb salvage and wound care.

After completing his residency, Dr. Erickson returned to Idaho where he has been in private practice at Rocky Mountain Foot and Ankle in Eagle and Caldwell, Idaho for the past 5 years. During this time, Dr. Erickson also worked for the Advanced Wound Care Center at West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell, Idaho.

MEMBERSHIPS

Dr. Erickson is a member of The American Podiatric Medical Association, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management, and the Idaho Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Erickson is currently serving as Treasurer for the Idaho Podiatric Medical Association.

FAMILY & HOBBIES

Dr. Erickson and his wife both grew up in Eastern Idaho and graduated from Rigby High School, so they are very excited for this new opportunity to work closer to “home“ at Idaho Foot and Ankle Center.

Dr. Erickson loves spending time with his family. He and his wife Emily have 4 beautiful children who take up nearly all of their “free time”. Dr. Erickson enjoys watching and coaching their sporting activities. Dr. Erickson also loves playing pretty much any sport, this includes rodeo, where he still competes regularly in Team Roping.
