Dr. Kylin Kovac, DPM, FACFAS

At a young age, Dr. Kovac was inspired by his grandfather who lost both of his legs due to diabetes. His desire was to gain a greater education in an effort to help others avoid that same outcome.

EDUCATION

Dr. Kovac received his Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University. He then completed his medical schooling at Des Moines University, obtaining a doctorate degree in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery and a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration. The focus of his three year residency at Detroit Medical Center included comprehensive training in podiatric surgery, trauma surgery, pediatric injuries and reconstructive surgery. He has extensive training in the challenges of diabetic patients in performing limb salvage and diabetic wound care. His training in foot and ankle surgery includes everything from hammertoes and bunions to ankle fractures and complex foot and ankle reconstructions.

Dr. Kovac received his Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University. He then completed his medical schooling at Des Moines University, obtaining a doctorate degree in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery and a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration. Dr. Kovac is a member of the American Medical Association, Idaho Podiatric Medical Association and a Board Certified Associate of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons.

FAMILY & HOBBIES

Dr. Kovac enjoys sports, biking, outdoor activities and spending time with his wife and six children.
